Industrial Personal Computers was started in 1991 due to a niche that needed to be filled in the engineering field. The Automation and Control Industry had lots of companies that would advise, engineer, and design the right control systems for any plant or mine that needed automation, however nobody had the rugged and tough hardware that it took to run the software.
IPC as it is known, has some of the toughest laptops, keyboards, industrial pointing devices, multiplug boards, and rack mount chassis’s in the country and we have put them through their pace’s. We have dropped laptops and drowned the pointing devices in fish tanks to prove that the products that IPC have under their banner of “tough and rugged” are just that.
IPC has installed bases on ships, in the military, construction, mining, microbiology, refractory and cement factories, the more dust, water and sunlight the Industrial PC’s and Peripherals IPC supply have around them the better they seem to function.
