Manhand Material Handling was started 15 years ago by Heinz Glockle together with his partners, Peter Thumiger and Johan Lessing, founders of the company D & H Engineering, a well respected company operating successfuly now for over 37 years.
Manhand is the authorised Southern African distributors for the well known Hangcha (HC) brand of forklifts.
HC is the number one Forklift manufacturer in China, with a market share of nearly 30% in a domestic market of over 100 000 units a year.
Hangcha is also the number one in International sales with a 35% share of China's forklift export market.They have 51 Dealers worldwide, including Manhand Material Handling.
Hangcha is rated the 16th largest forklift manufacturer in the world today and it's their mission to be in the top10 by 2011.
To meet the ever increasing demands of both the domestic and international markets they have recently embarked on a R1.5 billion expansion progamme that will see production capacity increase to around 80 000 units a year.
In addition Manhand also distribute the EP brand of Warehouse equipment, a market leader in both China and Internationally, with fully fledged branches in Japan, USA and Korea and distributors in Russia, Canada, Israel, Scandanavia, Netherland and of course, South Africa.
