Assessment
After receiving a cylinder for repair, all the interface and mounting dimensions are measured and recorded accordingly. The cylinder is then stripped and all components are carefully inspected for damage and wear, and details of any defect are recorded. A damage report, an estimate of cost is prepared and a quotation is forwarded to the customer for approval.
Refurbishment & Assembly
Qualified repair technicians utilise the latest equipment and are able to ensure that all cylinders are repaired to their original specification. Fault location can be conducted to damaged cylinders. Six month warranties are offered with repaired cylinders. An emergency repair service is available where a fast turnaround is needed.
Testing and Quality Assurance
All design, manufacture, installation and repair work is carried out to SABS ISO 9001:2000 standards. In order to ensure complete traceability and repeatability, every cylinder is inspected and full documentation and manuals are kept in our database. Measuring equipment and gauges are calibrated by SANAS accredited laboratories. Our sophisticated test-rig allows us to pressure-test all cylinders for function and leakage up to 800 bar and enables mid-stroke bypass testing.

Service includes:
- Cylinders in need of repair are exchanged for fully-functioning units
- Defective cylinders are stripped and reconditioned to OEM specifications
- A 6 month warranty is issued on all Exchange Division repairs
- Repaired cylinders are delivered to customer’s site – to save customers time and ensure minimum disruption to day to day operations
